Announcing the release of my new blackjack DVD, plus the Las Vegas Academy poker and blackjack seminar with Phil Gordon

BlackjackMy new blackjack card counting DVD, Beating Blackjack With Andy Bloch, is now available from Expert Insight. You can visit http://www.expertinsight.com/?aff=35 to purchase or get more information, including a sample clip. You can also find a clip on my new MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/andybloch .

Also, I'm excited to announce the "Las Vegas Academy," a full day seminar that Phil Gordon and I will be hosting in Las Vegas on June 24, 2006. At just $199 for early bird registrations, it's a bargain compared to some poker "camps" costing $1495 or more, so don't delay. Visit http://www.expertinsight.com/?aff=35 and click on Las Vegas Academy to view the agenda and register.

Andy, is there still profitable blackjack to be found these days? I was really into it in the late 90s (I used Hi Opt I and, later, the KO count), but with the advent of shuffle machines, horrible penetration and even worse rules, can good, reliable games still be found?

The poster makes an interesting comment. These days, the games offered seem to have lousy penetration and bad rules. Is blackjack as beatable as it was in the 90s when the MIT Teams reached their high tide?

Also, simulations have shown time and time again that KO can perform nearly identically to Hi-Lo. What is the advantage of using Hi-Lo over KO?
